I think he means graphic card is bettter. But Lovitar is right. They made it so a very large range of audiance would be able to enjo this game. If I don't find someone by the next BWE, I will give you my freind key. Considering your pretty much my friend now.

And I'M getting the warnings... Lavitar here completly murdered the English language like it says NOT to do.
I will decypher what he said for you. You would need to download the the files to the other PC, but you can sign in on any PC with your account. No need for a password if you made the account already. Download the client, put it on your other PC, and go. If you can fast transfer teh files rom your laptop, that would be quicker. There you go Whosa. |

anything like a USB port on both pcs with a usb cable that would allow file transfer
if the lappy has a cd player that would copy files onto the blank cd that would be fine burn the GW file and simply transfer it to the other pc otherwise just redownload as you go |

it should but you will be missing all the nifty pixel and vertex shader parts of the graphics as that is direct x 7 performance but is compatable with the latest direct x
go to start>run>type *dxdiag* (no *) and check out your display and run the diagnostic tests (display tab) |

I tested and saw the DirectX cube with a green X on it every time. Is that good?

if something was wrong it would give an error message
try it and see how it works for you is all i can say also a lot of the stuff we are downloading will be on the game discs when it comes out so load times should be reduced for all of us |

it is a dx7 card that is still available new for 33 dollars at newegg.com
typical review says that it is a nice card for net surfing but will not give you gaming quality graphics |

Actually there are very few manufacturers that actually make laptops ... most of them are braded, but originate from I think it is 3 factories Worldwide (well it used to be).
I actually use a laptop that was quite cheap 18 months ago but it is still a P4 3GZ laptop with 128 mb Graphics card. The specs of my laptop were not available in a Dell for around 14 months after I got mine. Anyone looking for an inexpensive notebook may want to look at www.sagerlaptops.com or www.pctorque.com They also do have an "upgradeable graphics card", they may not be as "sexy" as the alienware ... but they are considerably cheaper. Mine is quite heavy though, but is pretty much specced for gaming. I believe the Intel roadmap has them releasing a new laptop processor "Yonah" slated for the end of 2005. Whereas duel core intel processors for the PC are expected before this. With all of that said, laptops are still and will remain inferior to their desktop counterparts, but they are certainly able to run Guildwars with no problems.
